Pretty Pink Curtains & Roman Blinds for a Little Girls Bedroom

Here at Material World, we were delighted to yet again collaborate with Triona who runs the Instagram account Cherington House. Triona is known for her simple and classic sense of style in interior design. Still, she is also not afraid to use her imagination and have fun when choosing interiors for her children’s bedrooms.

We previously collaborated with Triona for her own master bedroom where she kept it simple and classy using neutral fabric for her curtains. This time we are collaborating with Triona  for one of her little girls’ bedrooms. As Triona’s little girl is still very young Triona wanted to dress her window so that it would be suitable for a child’s bedroom but also carry through her own sense of style which is already a common theme throughout Triona’s home.

Triona also wanted to create a warm and cosy environment for her little girl and we knew exactly what to do to achieve this look. We suggested that Triona dressed the window with a Roman Blind and a pair of made-to-measure curtains that would hang outside the blind. This will not only block out light and give more privacy it will also create more warmth which was exactly what Triona was hoping for.

As the bedroom is a very soft shade of baby pink we suggested that Triona chose a cream fabric for the Roman Blind and to add a pink braid to complement the room. Triona chose the fabric Natural Herringbone in the shade white with a braid that is slightly darker than the pink shade used to paint the bedroom. Triona then chose curtains to complement the blind and the room in the fabric Linen Look Pink.
