Yes, we offer a made-to-measure service which includes curtains and Roman blinds which are tailored to dress your window to perfection.
We also offer a collection of Ready Made curtains which can be purchased directly from our store or our website.

How does the process work?
Here at Material World, your process begins by visiting us in-store or browsing our website.
From here you can communicate with us via phone, email, Instagram or by visiting us in-store.
Share your measurements with our experienced team of experts and choose samples in-store or get them delivered directly to your front door.
Once your decision has been made, place your order and within a matter of weeks your window dressing will be made.

Where can I order samples?
Browse our collection of fabrics and select the sample that catches your eye.
Simply select Order a Sample on as many fabrics as you like and proceed to check out.

Can you order online?
Yes, we offer a virtual Design Consultation service. This consultation can take place over the phone, via WhatsApp, Instagram DM or email.
The process includes sharing your measurements and photographs of the window(s) you would like dressed, choosing samples and receiving expert advice from our experienced team.

What is the lead times for made-to-measure products?
Depending on your decision-making process and how busy our makers are etc. The process can take about 6 weeks or more.
Do you offer a Design Consultation service?
Yes, we offer both an in-person and virtual Design Consultation service.
We offer a walk-in service in-store so there is no need to book an appointment.
For our virtual consultations, you can contact us at a time that best suits you and we will reply within 1-2 working days depending on demand.

Do you charge for delivery?
Our online orders are delivered complimentary once you spend over €75. If your order is less than €75 the delivery charge is €10.

Do you offer an upholstery making service in-store?

Where do I measure from to get the drop?
For a curtain pole, measure the drop from the point directly under the curtain rings to where you would like the curtains to fall so that the curtain pole can be seen.
For a track, measure from the top of the track to where the curtains will fall.
For a track, measure from the top of the track to where the curtains will fall.
How to measure for tracks?
If you have not yet measured for curtains then follow the following steps:
Step 1:
Decide on the width you would like the track to span by measuring the window opening and adding a suitable overhang to each side.
For a typical window, we recommend that tracks overhang the width of the window by no less than 6" (15cm) on each side.
Step 2:
Decide on the height you would like the track to be positioned.
If you have already measured for curtains then you must follow the following steps:
Step 1:
Your track must be fitted at the exact height to accommodate your desired length of curtains.
Step 2:
Work out where the top of the curtain comes in relation to the track and if your curtains are hanging to a precise point such as the floor or window sill, you will need to be very accurate.
Step 1:

Does Material World supply a fitter?
Material World doesn't have an in-house fitter but can source a fitter for their customers depending on their location.
What is the difference between fleece and blackout lining?
This depends upon the type of order you have placed. Your advisor will be able to inform you of this at the appointment stage.
Will I be able to fit my curtains or blinds myself?
Yes, once you are confident to measure and fit correctly

How much deposit do I need to pay?
A 50% deposit is required to proceed with a made to measure order
Are the payment options available?
50% of the payment is needed to proceed with the order but this can be paid off as agreed with our team. The full balance must be paid before fitting or on collection.
How much does a fitter cost?
This depends on what you have ordered. Get in touch with us today and we will be able to provide you with a quote.
How much do made-to-measure Roman Blinds cost?
This cost depends on your measurements and choice of fabric.

Cancellation & Returns
Can I cancel my order?
Once we receive your order and payment your goods will be prepared immediately for dispatch. Therefore any cancellations where the fabric has been cut will not be considered.
What is your return policy?
Once the fabric has been cut, returns will not be accepted.
