Georgian-Inspired Roman Blinds with Contemporary Twist

It was a pleasure of ours to collaborate with Erica, founder of Just A Little Girl and the interior Instagram account Aderlia House. Erica lives with her husband and four children.
Their home is their sanctuary. They moved in two years ago, it is a classic Georgian-inspired bungalow with a contemporary edge.
They purchased their first home ten years ago and this is where Erica caught the interiors bug. They did a full renovation which led Erica to fall in love with all aspects of design and interiors. It was then they knew they wanted to build their forever home.
Erica loves making mood boards on Pinterest. She envisioned every detail of their home before a block was even laid. She knew how she wanted each and every room to look and feel whilst also ensuring the design style she chose was cohesive throughout her home.

For her daughter’s bedroom, she knew it had to be girly but wanted it style to be consistent with the interiors in the rest of her home. She browsed our website and ordered samples of our fabrics and braids. Erica chose the Natural Herringbone White fabric with the Limoges Pink braid. The Herringbone fabric teamed with the pink braid gave a playful feel whilst also adding texture to the room.
We also collaborated with Erica on her son’s room. He is a young adult so keeping this in mind was very important when choosing a window dressing for his bedroom and en-suite.

Erica chose the Zen Natural fabric which is a neutral fabric that has a classic pinstripe. This fabric is perfect as it will go with many different interior styles and colourways if they were to change in the future.
Erica discovered Material World via Instagram. She adorned the projects that we had worked on and documented on our Instagram page. From browsing these projects she knew that we would have exactly what she was looking for. She ordered a variety of samples and from our large collection and the quality of the fabrics she received, she could see why we were so popular.
From choosing her samples to ordering her Roman blinds Erica found the process incredible.
As a window treatment is a fixed feature in your home Erica recommends choosing a classic fabric as it will last for many years to come.
Erica would highly recommend Material World to first-time home owners and those who are redecorating their homes.
