Countryside Living with a Neutral Modern Interiors

We were delighted to get the opportunity to collaborate with Rebecca who you will know from Instagram as Self Build North Coast. Rebecca moved into her newly built home with her family four years ago. Rebecca lives in Northern Ireland near the Giants Causeway.
Rebecca has always had a passion for interior design and this passion has grown since building her own home. Her inspiration when planning the interiors for the home was a modern twist, living in the countryside Rebecca’s home had that countryside feel but Rebecca wanted to make it look as modern as possible so it wouldn’t date or look old-fashioned.
Rebecca wanted a neutral colour palette to carry throughout her home so to help her plan this she used Pinterest and Instagram. During this research, she discovered Material World through Instagram. She saw the work we had done in other Content Creators homes and this is what brought her on to our page.
After visiting our website Rebecca knew that Material World was the right choice for her and her home as we had a large collection of fabrics and braids for her to choose from.

Rebecca found the process of working with Material World seamless, from choosing her samples online to communicating with the team and getting everything delivered to her door.
Rebecca’s best advice when dressing a window is to question what is the use of the room. For example, Rebecca collaborated with us on her bedroom where she wanted to create a chilled and relaxing environment blocking out the light. If she was choosing a different room fleece lining would be more suitable as she wouldn’t need to block out the light.

For Rebecca’s bedroom, she chose blackout made-to-measure curtains in the Como Natural fabric and Tuscany braid which are both available in-store. This fabric complements Rebecca’s interiors perfectly and finishes off the relaxing environment she set out to achieve.
