Dressing Your Windows with Roman Blinds

Here at Material World, we design both made-to-measure curtains and Roman blinds. We believe that we are known for our luxury bespoke curtains however our Roman blinds are just as luxurious and dress windows just as beautiful as our curtains do.

Our client came to us and asked us for advice when dressing their windows for their sitting room. The sitting room has many small windows with a window frame around each of the windows. Due to this, we knew exactly what would suit the interiors in this room.

Roman blinds would suit this style of window best. As the frame is around the window curtains would take away from the look. The frame makes the windows the focal point of the room which Roman blinds are perfectly suited for.  

The client chose Dorset Herringbone Grey fabric along with a matching grey braid to complement the interiors in the room. The Roman blinds fit neatly inside the window frame which along with the chosen fabric gives an elegant look. It is important to keep your fabric and braid simple when there are many windows in the room as patterned fabric and dark colours can be too much. Roman blinds are not only an excellent window dressing for any room within the home. They are also very easy to fit and are functional and practical.
