Meet Caoimhe from House on the Border
Caoimhe is the Digital Creator behind House on the Border which you have more than likely seen on Instagram. Caoimhe is known for her beautiful home and spectacular taste in interior design. Caoimhe studied design in college and specialised in interior design. As well as owning the Instagram account House on the Border she has set up her own interior design business Border Interiors.
We discovered Caoimhe on Instagram and knew instantly that we wanted to work with her as we knew that she would be the perfect fit for Material World and that she would create something very special when choosing fabrics from us to design her very own bespoke curtains or roman blinds.
Caoimhe and her husband built their home together 5 years ago and have been carefully designing it ever since. When we reached out to Caoimhe she instantly knew that she wanted to design bespoke made-to-measure curtains for her landing window. The process began with Caoimhe choosing fabric samples from our website along with complementing braids.
Caoimhe’s personal design style is quite simple, understated and elegant. This design style is carried throughout Caoimhe’s entire home which also has a very calming effect. The fabric Caoimhe chose for her bespoke made-to-measure curtains was the Cashel Off White fabric. This fabric is textured and is an off-white shade. It is the best seller for upholstery use but as you can see from Caoimhe’s images it also makes beautiful curtains and roman blinds.
The curtains are ceiling-to-floor length and run along a track rather than a pole. This complements Caoimhe’s elegant and understated design style. Caoimhe chose a pinch pleat finish which again adds a touch of elegance. The braid used matches the wallpaper in Caoimhe’s home perfectly.
