Georgian Inspired Interiors with Renewable Georgian Build NI

It was our pleasure to collaborate with Content Creator and interior design enthusiast Ciara, who you will know from  Instagram as Renewable Georgian Build NI. Ciara lives with her husband and four children. Ciara’s home is a 4500 sq ft neo-Georgian farmhouse with classic contemporary interiors.  Georgian features included a symmetrical façade with a moulded stringcourse, sash windows, external window moulds, splayed and panelled window reveals and wall mouldings.

Ciara has always had an interest in interior design which started when they built their first home. This passion and interest grew as they were building their second home but now with Instagram, this passion has turned into more of an obsession. Ciara would love to be building again so she could start from scratch. She enjoyed the decision-making process and seeing everything come together. During her decision-making process, Ciara created mood boards and shared them on Instagram asking for feedback. Ciara also took architectural inspiration from her Granny’s old farmhouse with its symmetrical façade, sash windows and splayed reveals.  She also gained huge inspiration from fellow Instagram Content Creators' accounts.

Ciara collaborated with us on three of her rooms. The first room was her Living Room. The Living Room has splayed reveals and panelling, together with the sash windows being framed with architrave, which meant that Roman blinds were the perfect finishing touch for these windows as they are the focal point of this room. Ciara chose the Zen Natural fabric for her Roman blinds.

Ciara’s office is painted a dark blue-black colour with white coving around her windows and dark wood interiors. To complement this Ciara chose the Marela Herringbone Two Tone Grey fabric and Lyon Greige braid for the Roman blinds. Ciara’s chosen fabric and braid complement her interiors perfectly creating and sophisticated and elegant feel to the room.

Ciara’s Utility Room is a firm favourite among her Instagram community.  For this room, Ciara decided on a mock blind as she had never needed to close it. For this blind, she chose the Ticking Green fabric which complements the colour on her walls perfectly.

Ciara first heard about Material World from other Content Creators on Instagram and I loved their choices. She then checked out our Instagram account and was impressed with what she saw and the community we have built. Ciara then came to visit us in-store where she selected her favourite samples. She then brought them home to see what they looked like against her own interiors, leading her to order bespoke Roman blinds from Material World.

Ciara’s best advice when choosing a window dressing for your home is to choose simple and classic fabric and braid as you do not change window dressings often.
