Beautiful Home Makeover featuring Curtains & Roman Blinds

With summer quickly approaching there is no better time than now to give your home a refresh. We recently took part in a home makeover. This makeover was inspired by summer and wanting to add light and brightness along with giving the home a fresh feel.
Marela Herringbone Two Tone Curtains - Living Room

The makeover began in the living room. The living room is a place to get cosy and relax with your family. Due to this, including neutral decor or using natural colours such as beige, cream and grey will give the room a sense of calm and relaxation. We decided the Marela Herringbone Two Tone Grey Curtains would complement this room the best. The two-tone fabric used in these curtains is very versatile as it will work perfectly in both a beige and a grey room. Depending on the colours used with them brings out similar colours. We added a navy braid as a finishing touch for these curtains as it adds depth and a luxurious feel to the curtains. The curtains are also floor-length which adds to the cosiness of the room.
Marela Herringbone Beige Roman Blinds - Walk-in Wardrobe

We then planned the walk in wardrobe. As well as having a glamorous and luxurious feel, walk-in wardrobes also need to be practical and functional. This walk-in wardrobe in particular isn’t very large so it was important not to add too much fabric as this could look cluttered as there are shelves beside the window. We also don’t want to lose too much light. Due to this, we decided that fitting a Roman Blind was the best option. Roman blinds are luxurious but also practical. They fit perfectly within the window, not taking up any extra space or blocking any sunlight. We choose the Marela Herringbone beige fabric which is a beautiful plain fabric with the classic Herringbone weave. To complement the blinds we used a braid with complementing colours.
Natural Midnight Roman Blinds - Bathroom

We then moved on to the bathroom. As the bathroom is midnight blue we knew we had the perfect fabric to compliment this shade. As most bathroom windows are quite small and the colour theme of the bathroom is deep we decided to soften the bathroom by adding a Midnight Blue Roman Blind. The blind fits perfectly within the window, not taking up any extra room. Roman blinds are very functional for bathrooms as they are both a decorative piece but are also practical as they are less likely to get wet like curtains would and won’t take up as much room.
Dorset Herringbone Pale Grey Roman Blinds - Boys' Bedroom

We then moved on to the children’s bedrooms starting with the boys. Again these bedrooms are quite small so we needed to think practically when deciding what our best option would be. We decided to fit Roman Blinds as they take up less space and will be more practical in a little boys' bedroom. We decided to keep the design quite simple so we chose the Dorset Herringbone Pale Grey fabric with a navy pom pom braid to add a fun element to the room. Roman Blinds are a great addition to a child's bedroom as they are not as expensive as curtains and are more practical.
Natural Herringbone White Roman Blinds - Girls' Bedroom

This little girl's bedroom was painted baby pink with very delicate decor. Due to this, we wanted to be very careful when choosing the right fabrics, textures and designs. We decided to add a Roman Blind as they are both practical and decorative. We choose the Natural Herringbone fabric which is 100% cotton with a Herringbone weave. We chose this fabric in the white shade and decided on a baby pink braid to compliment the interiors used within these little girls' bedrooms.
