Designing with Andrea: How to Elevate Your Kitchen with Roman Blinds

We recently got the opportunity to collaborate with Andrea who you will know from Instagram as dreah.home.

Andrea lives in a beautiful home in Dublin with her husband and two dogs. They moved into their home over ten years ago. Andrea couldn’t wait to have her own home where she could decorate and put her stamp on.

She is very passionate about interior design and one of her favourite things to do is to create mood boards when decorating a room. She finds Pinterest useful for pinning ideas and getting inspiration for the room she wants to decorate.

She loves neutrals and a coastal calm style adding in a mix of soft blues. When designing her kitchen she knew that she wanted a Roman blind as she felt that it would finish off the room. She wanted something with a braid and a textured fabric.

She discovered Material World on Instagram through people that she follows. She then visited our website where she browsed our collection of fabrics and braids. She loved what she saw which encouraged her to order samples and got them delivered straight to her home.

Andrea would highly recommend Material World as she found the process of working with us quick and easy as you can go through the whole process online.

Andrea’s top tip when planning a window dressing for your home is to order samples so that you can see what they look like within your own interiors. Andrea chose the Dorset Herringbone Cream fabric and Rochelle Cream braid. The colours and textures in this fabric and braid complement her interiors perfectly.
