Accessorising Your Curtains with Braids & Tiebacks

Windows, especially large windows similar to what is featured here in this post are the focal point of the room. With this in mind, it is very important to be aware of the other interiors, features and the type of room that it may be. This room appears quite large and bright but as it is painted dark blue, along with the dark furniture adding dark curtains could make the room very dark and small.

As you can see here the curtains have lifted the room making it brighter and appear larger than it actually is. Not only does choosing curtains that are this very light shade of off-white create this brightness and space because there is no pattern it creates the illusion of space. This can be both a positive and a negative and if no other colour is added the curtains can appear quite plain.

Braids

Braids are a sophisticated way of adding colour and texture to the curtains without going over the top. It is an excellent way to combine colours within a room. By adding the navy braid which matches perfectly with the colour on the wall brings warmth to the curtains and brings the room nicely together.

Tiebacks

Tiebacks are not always needed for curtains but they really do add that extra touch of luxury. Our tiebacks are available in an array of colours which you can match your curtains or braids too perfectly.
