The Perfect Match: Pretty Pink Braids for a Little Girls Bedroom

Here at Material World, we love nothing more than making our clients' dreams a reality when it comes to curtains and roman blinds. Our clients hold the vision and we make it happen by advising and inspiring them. 

For this particular home we collaborated with Digital Creator Lauren who you will know from Instagram as LaurenK_28. Lauren got many windows in her home dressed by Material World but for today we are going to focus on her little girl’s beautiful bedroom. 

As you can see this room has many decorative features with the swing and canopy being the focal point in the room. This feature needed to be kept in mind when planning the window dressing. As there are two small windows in this room curtains would be too much but roman blinds would make the perfect addition. 

Roman Blinds are simple and practical yet just as effective and luxurious as curtains. For this room, Lauren knew she had to choose a fabric and design that was quite soft and simple after having a consultation with Lauren we sent her samples that we thought would suit her sense of style and the room. 

Lauren chose this simple white fabric named Linen Look White to add a pop of colour and to tie the room together Lauren chose a pink braid to match her interiors. This is a great idea for children’s bedrooms as they get older and grow out of pink and baby blue the rooms can be repainted but the curtains or roman blinds will match a more sophisticated grown-up shade. Adding a different colour braid is a  great way to add colour or depth to the curtains or blinds as well as tie the room together.
